Weakly right cP-Baer ring

A Baer ring is an associative unital ring in which the right annihilator of any nonempty subset is generated by an idempotent. Since their origin in the context of operator rings in the 1960s, Baer rings have proved remarkably fruitful in many areas of algebra and have been extensively specialised and generalised.\N\NIn this paper, the authors review the properties of these classes of rings and the relations among them and introduce a new variant: a ring \(R\) is \textit{weakly right \(\mathfrak c\mathfrak P\)-Baer} if for each cyclic projective right \(R\)-module \(P\) there exists a nonempty set \(E\) of left semicentral idempotents of \(R\) such that the right annihilator of \(P\) in \(R\) is \(\bigcup_{c\in E} cR\), where an idempotent \(c\) is right semicentral if for all \(r\in R,\ cr=crc\). They relate this class to some of those mentioned above and study the weakly right \(\mathfrak c\mathfrak P\)-Baer polynomial, skew polynomial, formal power series and triangular matrix rings.\N\NFor the entire collection see [Zbl 1572.16001].
