Let \(\mathcal{D}\) be a finite-dimensional central division algebra over the \(p\)-adic field \(F\) of dimension \(d^2\). Let \(\mathcal{O}_{\mathcal{D}}\) be the ring of integers of \(\mathcal{D}\) and let \(\mathcal{P}_{\mathcal{D}}\) be its unique maximal ideal. For \(r \ge 1\), the principal congruence subgroup of \(\mathrm{GL}_m(\mathcal{D})\) of level \(r\), denoted by \(\mathcal{K}(r)\), is defined as the kernel of the reduction modulo \(\mathcal{P}_{\mathcal{D}}^r\), \(\mathrm{GL}_m(\mathcal{O}_\mathcal{D}) \to \mathrm{GL}_m(\mathcal{O}_\mathcal{D}/\mathcal{P}^r_\mathcal{D})\).\N\NLet \(\pi\) be an irreducible smooth representation of \(\mathrm{GL}_m(\mathcal{D})\) and denote by \(\rho(\pi)\) the Moy-Prasad depth of \(\pi\). In this paper, the author proves that \(\pi\) has \(\mathcal{K}(r)\)-fixed vectors if and only if \(\rho(\pi) \le (r-1)/d\).\N\NFurthermore, if \(\pi\) is an essentially square-integrable representation, the criterion for the existence of \(\mathcal{K}(r)\)-fixed vectors can be expressed in terms of the conductor \(C(\pi)\). Finally, if \(\pi\) is a principal series representation of \(\mathrm{GL}_m(\mathcal{D})\), the author explicitly computes the dimension of the space of \(\mathcal{K}(r)\)-fixed vectors of \(\pi\).
