The quotient algebra of an H -module Lie algebra

Let \(L\) be a semisimple Lie algebra with an action from the cocommutative Hopf algebra \(H\). The authors define an \(H\)-module algebra of quotients of \(L\) to be an extension \(Q\) of \(L\) such that for any \(q\in Q\) there exists an \(H\)-ideal \(I\) of \(L\) such that \(\mathrm{Ann}_L(I)=0\) and \(0\ne[I,q]\subseteq L\). The main theorem is an explicit construction of a maximal such extension, analogous to the construction of the Martindale ring of quotients of a prime ring. The authors also discuss some combinatorial properties of this maximal algebra of quotients, including the GK-dimension and the cocharacter sequence.
