Hypersurfaces of the sphere S^6(1) with four-dimensional nullity distribution
The six-dimensional sphere \(S^6(1)\) is the well-known classical example of a non-Kählerian nearly Kähler manifold.\N\NThe totally geodesic sphere \(S^5\) can be considered as a hypersurface of \(S^6(1)\) that trivially admits a five-dimensional nullity distribution.\N\NIn the present paper, non-totally geodesic hypersurfaces of the nearly Kähler sphere \(S^6(1)\) are studied. The main result is a complete classification of hypersurfaces in \(S^6(1)\) that admit a nullity distribution of dimension four (i.e., of the maximal possible dimension).
