Let \(A\subseteq \ell_{\infty}^n\) (resp. \(A\subseteq \ell_1^n\)) be a convex domain with \(0\in A\) and let \(f:A \rightarrow \ell_{\infty}^n\) (resp. \(f:A \rightarrow \ell_1^n\)) be a standard \(\varepsilon\)-isometry, i.e., \(f(0)=0\) and \N\[\N|\|f(x)-f(y)\|-\|x-y\||\leq\varepsilon \ \ \ \forall x,y\in A.\N\]\NThe author shows how \(f\) can be approximated by a surjective linear isometry \(U:\ell_{\infty}^n \rightarrow \ell_{\infty}^n\) (resp. \(U:\ell_1^n \rightarrow \ell_1^n\)).
