A new integral transform, called \(k\)-Hankel transform, \(\mathcal F_{k}(f )\) is defined for every \(f\in L^1(\mathbb R, d\mu_{k,1})\) with \(k\in \mathbb R^+\), and is given by \(\mathcal F_{k}(f )(\lambda)=\mathcal F_{k,1}(f )(\lambda) :=\int_{\mathbb R}f(x)B_{k,\lambda}(x) d\mu_{k,1}(x)\), where \(B_{k,\lambda}(x)=j_{2k-1}(2|\lambda x|^\frac{1}{2}) - \frac{\lambda x\Gamma(2k)}{\Gamma(2k+2)} j_{2k+1}(2|\lambda x|^\frac{1}{2})\), and \(j_\alpha \) is the normalized Bessel function of order \(\alpha\), using the usual Bessel function \(J_{\alpha}\) by \(j_\alpha(u) = 2^\alpha\Gamma((\alpha+1) u^{-\alpha}J_{\alpha}(u)\), and \(\mu_{k,1}\) is the positive measure on \(\mathbb R\), \(\mu_k=\mu_{k,1} := \frac12 \Gamma(2k)^{-1}|x|^{2k-1}\), where \(\Gamma\) is the gamma function on \(\mathbb R\). This is a special case of the general \((k,\alpha)\)-generalized transform \(\mathcal F_{k,\alpha}\), which includes the usual Fourier transform, the Hankel transform, and the Dunkl transform, as special cases. The inverse formula for the transform is given by \(f(x)=\int_{\mathbb R} \mathcal F_{k}f(\lambda)B_k(\lambda, x) d\mu_k(\lambda)\).\N\NThe author studies the \(L^2\)-multiplier operators, \(T_{m,\sigma}\), associated with the \(k\)-Hankel transform. For \(m\in L^2(d\mu_k)\), he defines the \(k\)-Hankel \(L^2\)-multiplier operators for a suitable function \(\varphi\) by \(T_{m,\sigma}(\varphi)(x) ={\mathcal F_k}^{-1}(m_\sigma \mathcal F_k(\varphi))(x)\), where \(\sigma\) is a positive real number and \(m_\sigma(x)=m(\sigma x)\). \par Assuming that \(m \in L^2(d\mu_k)\) satisfies \(\int_0^{+\infty} |m_\sigma(x)|^2\sigma^{-1}d\sigma= 1\), \(x\in\mathbb R\), he derives three Calderón's reproducing formulas, the Calderón's reproducing formula is the inversion formula for \(T_{m,\sigma}(\varphi)\). Furthermore, he achieves quadratic convergence as his second formula. Additionally, by utilizing the extremal function, he obtains the best approximation formula.
