This paper studies sequences defined by the third-order recurrence relation\N\[\NV_n = V_{n-1} + V_{n-2} + 2V_{n-3},\N\]\Nwith arbitrary initial conditions. The work fits into the broader line of research on generalizations of classical sequences. The authors follow a standard framework, deriving a collection of straightforward identities of the kind that has become common in the recent literature.\N\NAn extension of circulant matrices is also considered, in which the first row is formed by terms of the defined sequence. The authors examine norms, spectra, and determinants of such matrices, with results that are closely aligned with existing work.
