A group is called \(3/2\)-generated if every non-identity element is contained in a generating pair. Whether every finite non-abelian simple group is \(3/2\)-generated was a long-standing open problem posed by \textit{R.~Steinberg} [Can. J. Math. 14, 277--283 (1962; Zbl 0103.26204)]. It was resolved by \textit{R.~M.~Guralnick} and \textit{W.~M.~Kantor} [J. Algebra 234, No.~2, 743--792 (2000; Zbl 0973.20012)]. Independently, \textit{A.~Stein} [Beitr. Algebra Geom. 39, No.~2, 349--358 (1998; Zbl 0924.20027)] proved a weaker form of this result.\N\NIn the paper under review, the analogous question is discussed for Thompson's groups \(T\), \(F\), and \(V\), (see \textit{J. W. Cannon} et al. [Enseign. Math. (2) 42, No. 3--4, 215--256 (1996; Zbl 0880.20027)] for their definitions). The authors note that \textit{C.~Donoven} and \textit{S.~Harper} [Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 52, No.~4, 657--673 (2020; Zbl 1472.20069)] proved that the Higman-Thompson groups \(V_n\) and their derived subgroups \(V_n'\) are \(3/2\)-generated for every \(n\geq 2\). In particular, \(V\) is \(3/2\)-generated. The authors focus on \(T\) and prove that it is also \(3/2\)-generated.
