Archimedean zeta integrals on U(n,1)
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: For a dual pair of unitary groups with equal size, zeta integrals arising from Rallis inner product formula give the central values of certain automorphic L-functions. In this paper we explicitly calculate archimedean zeta integrals of this type for U(n,1), assuming that the corresponding archimedean component of the automorphic representation is a holomorphic discrete series.
For applications of the theta lift to arithmetic problems, it is desirable to explicitly evaluate some integrals of matrix coefficients of irreducible representations of classical groups against matrix coefficients of the oscillator representations. In the paper under review, the authors obtain an explicit result for the holomorphic discrete series of the real unitary group \(\mathrm{U}(n,1)\). The results have potential application to the arithmetic study of central values of automorphic L-functions.
