Abstract: Let be a perfect field of characteristic , let be two -morphism of finite type, and let be the morphism defined by . For each , let be a -rational point in the fiber such that is smooth on . Using the -adic Fourier transformation and the stationary phase principle of Laumon, we prove that the vanishing cycle of at is the convolution product of the vanishing cycles of at .
