Numerical simulation of the quantum Liouville-Poisson system
From MaRDI portal
The authors consider the quantum Liouville-Poisson equation to determine how quantum effects affect plasma phenomena such as Landau damping and two stream instability problems. It is shown that the quantum correction to characteristic frequencies can be the dominant one. The system is simulated numerically by a splitting scheme, involving a double Fourier transformation. Diagrams are given for the results of the numerical simulations in a number of special cases.
