Abstract: We consider positive solution to the weighted elliptic problem egin{equation*} left { egin{array}{ll} -{ m div} (|x|^ heta abla u)=|x|^ell u^p ;;; mbox{in },\ u=0 ;;; mbox{on partialB}, end{array} ight. end{equation*} where B is the standard unit ball of mathbbRN. We give a complete answer for the existence question when N:=N+heta>2. In particular, for N>2 and au:=ellheta>2, it is shown that the problem admits a unique positive radial solution for p>ps:=fracN+2+2auN2, while for any 0<pleqps, the only nonnegative solution is uequiv0.
