On the linear, symplectic and orthogonal K groups of Z/p^ 2Z in dimensions 1 through 5
The author extends the existing calculations of the cohomology of the special orthogonal groups \(SO(2n,{\mathbb{Z}}/p^ 2)\), where p is a prime. These calculations enable him to calculate the linear, symplectic and orthogonal algebraic K-groups of \({\mathbb{Z}}/p^ 2\) in dimensions \(\leq 5\) when p is a ``large prime. These calculations augment the slender supply of K-theory calculations in high (i.e. greater than two!) dimensions. For the reader's convenience the paper includes an almost complete list of related K-theory calculations (together with an almost accurate chronology).
