Abstract: Given a sequence of distinct positive integers and any positive integer , the discriminator is defined as the smallest positive integer such are pairwise incongruent modulo . We consider the discriminator for the sequence , where equals the absolute value of , that is . We prove a 2012 conjecture of Sabin Salajan characterizing the discriminator of the sequence .
