This paper is devoted to the investigation of some subgroups in the linear group \(\text{GL}_{2n}(R)\), where \(R\) is a commutative ring with identity. In particular, the authors give a complete description of all overgroups of the elementary unitary group \(\text{EU}_{2n}(R)\) (\(n\geq 5\)).
