Question 7464.

From MaRDI portal

Möglichst kleine ganzzahlige positive Lösungen zu finden, die den Gleichungen \(x^{2}+xy+y^{2}=w^{2}\), \(y^{2}+yz+z^{2}=v^{2}\), \(z^{2}+zx+x^{2}=u^{2}\) genügen. \textit{Heppel} selbst gibt \(x=27265\), \(y=13464\), \(z=39360\), \(w=35941\), \(v=47544\). \textit{Davis} findet \(x=q(p^{2}-2p-3)\), \(y=4pq\), \(z=p(q^{2}-2q-3)\), wo \(p\) und \(q>3\), falls noch \(p^{2}+pq+q^{2}-6(p+q)+3=0\). Für \(p=\frac{23}{7}\), \(q=\frac{29}{7}\) ergibt sich \(x=435\), \(y=4669\), \(z=1656\), \(w=4901\), \(v=5681\), \(u=1911\). Läßt man negative Werte zu, so genügen schon \(x=7\), \(y=8\), \(z=-15\). \textit{Cunningham} verweist auf \textit{Euler}, Comment. Arithm. 2, 414-417 und findet danach \(x=960\), \(y=-1064\), \(z=665\), \(v=931\), \(u=1415\), \(w=1016\).
