Rationality of the probabilistic zeta functions of finitely generated profinite groups.
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: We discuss whether finiteness properties of a profinite group can be deduced from the probabilistic zeta function . In particular we prove that if is rational and all but finitely many nonabelian composition factors of are groups of Lie type in a fixed characteristic, then contains only finitely many maximal subgroups.
