Recognizable subsets of semigroups
From MaRDI portal
Subsets of semigroups related to abstract grammars are studied. The paper describes particular subsemigroups of the power semigroup, \(P(S)\), of a semigroup \(S\). Some introductory notions about automata and recognizers are considered. Subsets of semigroups are shown to have many properties that subsets of a free monoid possess.
