Representations of 2-groups by polynomials
From MaRDI portal
Finite \(p\)-groups can be represented by polynomials. However, how to represent \(p\)-groups and to classify \(p\)-groups up to isomorphism in such a way, is a wide open question. In this paper 2-groups of order at most 8 are tackled, and dihedral 2-groups, generalized quaternion groups, and the infinite dihedral group are investigated.
