Ruled hypersurfaces in nonflat complex planes with 3-killing structure vector fields

From MaRDI portal

This paper deals with a ruled hypersurface \( M \) in a nonflat complex palne \( CM^{2}(c) \). It is proved in Theorem 3.1 that the structure vector field \( \xi \) of \( M \) is 3-Killing and the mean curvature is invariant along the structure vector field of \( M \) if and only if \( M \) is strongly 2-Hopf. Moreover, then the shape operator \( A \) can be written explicitly for \( c > 0 \), \( c < 0 \). It is mentioned also that one can construct a type of ruled hypersurfaces in the complex projective space \( CP^{n}(c), c > 0 \) or in the complex hyperbolic space \( CH^{n}(c), c < 0 \) such that its structure vector field is non-Killing, non -2-Killing but 3-Killing.
