Scattering of waves by an expanding surface
From MaRDI portal
The perturbation of a harmonic plane wave by a surface expanding from a fixed point is considered. The effect of the surface is to generate a wave with a spherical front, and an analytical representation of the resulting wave field in the vicinity of the wave front is given for both a scalar and an electromagnetic case.
