Series of rational potentials separable in elliptic coordinates
Let \(H\) be a Hamiltonian-Jacobi equation, corresponding to the Lagrangian \(L=x_t^2-V(x)\) in the elliptic or sphero-conical coordinates. In the article the rational potentials \(V(x)\), for which the Hamiltonian-Jacobi equation \(H\) is separable are considered. A generating function, leading to a basis in the space of rational separable potentials \(V(x)\) is discovered. By means of it, series of unknowns before separable rational potentials are discovered. This allows to establish that on a level of fixed \(n-2\) elliptic or sphero-conical coordinates the curve of branching of the two rest coordinates split into the symmetric configuration of lines of multiplicity~1.
