Several properties of a system in complex Clifford analysis

From MaRDI portal

The authors generalize some of the results of \textit{H. Leutwiler}'s paper [Complex Variables, Theory Appl. 20, No. 1-4, 19-51 (1992; Zbl 0768.30037)] to a setting in \(\mathbb C^n\) using Clifford algebra framework. In particular, the concept of hyperbolically harmonic functions is transferred to the higher-dimensional complex case, these being solutions \(w\) of the equation \(z_n\) Laplace \(w-4(n-1){{\partial w}\over{\partial\overline z_n}}\) which can be considered as complex version of the Laplace-Beltrami equation for the hyperbolic (Poincaré) metric. This concept is used to -- locally -- characterize solutions of a system of partial differential equations that generalizes the Cauchy-Riemann equations to \(\mathbb C^n\). Several other characterizations are given.
