Shape-preserving approximation by spline functions
From MaRDI portal
The main purpose of this paper is to establish the Jackson and Bernstein type theorems for \(L_{\bar p}\) approximation by monotone and convex splines whose knots are not equally spaced. By the way, he gives a negative answer to Devore's conjectures on these problems.
