Smooth points of some operator spaces
Geometry and structure of normed linear spaces (46B20) Spaces of measurable functions ((L^p)-spaces, Orlicz spaces, Köthe function spaces, Lorentz spaces, rearrangement invariant spaces, ideal spaces, etc.) (46E30) Linear operators on special spaces (weighted shifts, operators on sequence spaces, etc.) (47B37) Linear spaces of operators (47L05)
The aim of the paper is to characterize explicitly the smooth points of the unit balls of Ḻ(\(\ell^ 1,F)\) and Ḻ(E,\(\ell^{\infty})\), where E, F are arbitrary Banach spaces. Additionally, instead of \(\ell^{\infty}\), \(c_ 0\) and c are considered, too.
