Software tools for modelling scattered data
The paper discusses how object oriented programming (OOP) can be used to design suitable software according to the special requirements met in the field of scattered data approximation. Emphasis is made in explaining how OOP and C++ can be used to design high level and abstract program modules supporting easy access to the users' various types of data, combining and comparing several methods, etc. Topics as the characteristics of scattered data, software requirements and the elements of software design are considered. For the entire collection see [Zbl 0863.00021].
