Es wird gezeigt, dass die Gleichung \[ x^2+D^m=(N^2+D)y^2, \] wo \(m\) eine ungrade Zahl bedeutet, rationale Lösungen für \(x\) und \(y\) gestattet, wenn \(N\) und \(D\) rational, und dass \(x\) und \(y\) ganzzahlig werden, wenn \(N\) und \(D\) ganze Zahlen sind.
