Eine Sehne \(PQ\) schneidet von einer ovalen Curve ein constantes Flächenstück ab: dann ist der Krümmungsradius ihrer Enveloppe \(\tfrac 14 PQ(\text{cotg\,}\theta + \text{cotg\,}\psi)\), wo \(\theta\) und \(\psi\) die Winkel sind, unter denen \(PQ\) die gegebene Curve schneidet.
