Solution of question 234.

From MaRDI portal

Wenn in der Gleichung \((x - a_{1})\;(x - a_{3})\;(x - a_{5}) \cdots (x - a_{2n-1}) + b^{m}(x -a_{2})\;(x-a_{4}) \cdots (x-a_{2n})=0\;\;b\) eine positive und \(m\) eine ganze positive Zahl ist und die \(2n-1\) Differenzen \(a_{1} - a_{2},\;\;a_{2} - a_{3},\;\;a_{3} - a_{4} \cdots a_{2n-1} - a_{2n}\) positiv sind, so sind die \(n\) Wurzeln der Gleichung reell und liegen zwischen \(a_{1}\) und \(a_{2}, a_{3}\) und \(a_{4}, a_{5}\) und \(a_{6}\) u. s. w.
