Some Characterizations of Relative Sequentially Cohen-Macaulay and Relative Cohen-Macaulay Modules

From MaRDI portal

Abstract: Let M be an R-module over a Noetherian ring R and mathfraka be an ideal of R with c=mcd(mathfraka,M). First, we prove that M is finite mathfraka-relative Cohen-Macaulay if and only if mHi(Lambdamathfraka(mHmathfrakac(M)))=0 for all ieqc and mHc(Lambdamathfraka(mHmathfrakac(M)))congwidehatMmathfraka. Next, over an mathfraka-relative Cohen-Macaulay local ring (R,mathfrakm), we provide a characterization of mathfraka-relative sequentially Cohen-Macaulay modules M in terms of mathfraka-relative Cohen-Macaulayness of the R-modules mExtRd−i(M,mDmathfraka) for all igeq0, where mDmathfraka=mHomR(mHmathfrakad(R),mE(R/mathfrakm)) and d=mcd(mathfraka,R). Finally, we provide another characterization of mathfraka-relative sequentially Cohen-Macaulay modules M in terms of vanishing of the local homology modules mHj(Lambdamathfraka(mHmathfrakai(M)))=0 for all 0leqileqc and for all jeqi.
