Some constructions of 3-pre-Lie-Rinehart algebras

From MaRDI portal

The notion of a 3-Lie algebra is an extension of the classical notion of a Lie algebra, where the bracket is replaced by a ternary one; the Jacobi relation is replaced by\N\[\N[x,y[z,u,v]]=[[x,y,z],u,v]+[z,[x,y,u],v]+[z,u,[x,y,v]].\N\]\NA notion of 3-pre-Lie algebra can be found in the literature. In this paper, in the same spirit, 3-Lie-Rinehart and 3-pre-Lie-Rinehart are introduced. Classical results on relative Rota-Baxter operators, smash products, representations\(\ldots\) are extended to this context. It is shown that a (pre-)Lie-Rinehart algebra with a trace operator gives rise to a 3-(pre-)Lie-Rinehart algebra.
