Some universality results for dynamical systems
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: We prove some "universality" results for topological dynamical systems. In particular, we show that for any continuous self-map of a perfect Polish space, one can find a dense, -invariant set homeomorphic to the Baire space ; that there exists a bounded linear operator such that any linear operator from a separable Banach space into itself with is a linear factor of ; and that given any -compact family of continuous self-maps of a compact metric space, there is a continuous self-map of such that each is a factor of .
