Piecewise harmonic subharmonic functions and positive Cauchy transforms (Q1011630)

Let \(U\) be a domain in \(\mathbb C\) and let \(\Sigma (U) = \{f \in D' (U): \partial_{\overline z} f \geq 0\}.\) The authors solve the following problem: Under what conditions a piecewise analytic function in \(U\) has the form \(\partial_z \varphi,\) where \(\varphi\) is the maximum of a finite number of harmonic functions in \(U\). They give four answers to this question. At the end of the paper some related problems are formulated.
