The author proves that an Artinian quadratic standard graded algebra \(R\) over an algebraically closed field \(K\) of characteristic \(\neq 2\) and with \(\dim R_2 = 3\) is Koszul, \(\dim R_3 \leq 1\) and for all \(i > 3\) \(R_i = 0\). Moreover \(\dim R_3 = 1\) iff \(R\) is a trivial fiber extension of a factor algebra \(K[x,y,z]/I\) where \(I\) is a complete intersection of three quadrics, and if \(R_3 = 0\) then \(R\) is G-quadratic. The proof is based in a deep analysis of the rank of elements in \(R_1\). Next the author drops the Artinian condition. He recalls the classification of the nets of conics, i.e. vector spaces of quadrics of dimension \(3\) in three variables over the complex numbers. The \(15\) cases are analyzed. He computes the Hilbert series, the number of linear forms whose squares are in the net, the number of points of the variety defined by the net, whether it is Koszul or not, whether is G-quadratic, the name given by Wall and whether it is of Gradient type. The final section includes some questions and open problems.
