There are considered pairs \((X,f)\) with \(X\) a compact metric space and \(f\) a continuous selfmap; a discrete dynamical system is defined by \(\{f^n(x)\}_n\), \(x\in X\). The paper deals with \(\omega\)-limit sets and their topological description. The basis of the paper is the theory of continua sets while the main topic is given by universality with respect to \(\omega\)-limit sets. There is considered universality on graphs, dendrites and higher dimensional spaces. Finally, universality on Cantor sets is considered.
