The following functional equations are considered: \[ (1)\quad G(x,y)=G(x,\alpha x+(1-\alpha)y)+G(\alpha x+(1-\alpha)y,y), \] \[ (2)\quad G(x,y)=G(x,H_{\alpha}(x,y))+G(H_{\alpha}(x,y),y), \] where \(\alpha\in (0,1)\) and \(H_{\alpha}(x,y)=h^{-1}(\alpha h(x)+(1- \alpha)h(y))\). In the case \(\alpha =1/2\) equation (1) is considered for x,y from an abelian group uniquely 2-divisible with each non-zero element of infinite order. For \(\alpha\) \(\neq 1/2\) the variables occurring in equation (1) vary in a real vector space. Equation (2) is considered on a real interval. Theorems obtained say that each solution G can be obtained starting from an arbitrary function defined on some (described in the paper) sets.
