We give answers to two concrete problems in the theory of varieties of group representations. The first of these is connected with the concept of a pure variety. We recall that a variety of group representations over an integral domain K is called pure, if the domains of action of its free representations are torsion-free K-modules. Problem 1. Is the intersection of pure varieties itself pure? The second problem is connected with ordered functions of varieties.
