The authors state some recent successes in factorization theory of meromorphic functions and present a number of research problems concerning with several aspects in this field, such as the primality of certain classes of entire and meromorphic functions. There are a few incorrect statements that the authors have stated (I am sure inadvertently). Firstly, conjecture \(A_ 3\) has already been studied earlier by the reviewer and the first author. Secondly on p. 65 the authors attribute the conjecture that ``f(g) has infinitely many fix- points when f or g is transcendental entire and the other is nonlinear'' to Rosenbloom. This is incorrect. This conjecture was conjectured by the reviewer in his book on ``Factorization of meromorphic functions'' published in (1972; Zbl 0266.30006).
