On oscillations of second order linear differential equations (Q1180600)

The authors deal with the second order linear differential equations \[ (p(x)y')' + q(x)y = f(x) \tag{NH} \] and the associated homogeneous equation \[ (p(x)y')' + q(x)y = 0, \tag{H} \] where \(p,q,f\) are positive differentiable functions such that the product \(pq\) is a nondecreasing function. Conditions on the functions \(p,q,f\) are given which guarantee boundedness and oscillations of the equations (NH) and (H). Some results of the paper are close to the oscillation criteria given by \textit{M. Ráb} [Čas. Pěstovaní Mat. 84, 335--370 (1959; Zbl 0087.29505)], \textit{R. A. Moore} [Pac. J. Math. 5, 125--145 (1955; Zbl 0064.08401)], \textit{M. S. Keener} [Appl. Anal. 1, 57--63 (1971; Zbl 0215.43802)].
