An IFP near-ring \(N\) is one in which if \(xy = 0\) then \(xzy = 0\) for all \(z\in N\). These near-rings have been the object of a good deal of work, of which this paper is a good example. The first major result is a characterization of regular IFP near-rings which are subdirectly irreducible. Along the way several interesting results are given. Several properties of these particular near-rings are described. This enables regular IFP near-rings to be characterized as subdirect products of well- defined near-rings. A precise description of the special case of Boolean IFP near-rings is given. Finally near-rings \(N\) in which \(acb = abc\) for all \(a\), \(b\), \(c\) in \(N\), (\(P_ 3\))-near-rings, are also dealt with in detail.
