In this short note, Guo Shuchun advertises the publication of his edition of the Jiu zhang suan shu (``Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art''), 1st century A.D., which is regarded as the founding text of the Chinese mathematical tradition, and of its commentaries by Liu Hui (3rd cent. A.D.) and Li Chunfeng (7th cent. A.D.). Guo outlines the history of the retrieval and editions of the Jiu zhang suan shu since the 18th century. His own edition is based on the Song (13th century) version for the first five chapters and on the Yongle dadian compilation (15th century) for chapters 6 to 9 and Liu Hui's preface. In his introduction to the edited text (which follows two prefaces by the eminent mathematician Wu Wenjun and by the late historian of mathematics Yan Dunjie), Guo outlines the main results found in the Jiu zhang suan shu and the methods he has followed in collating the text. He also mentions a few of the recent contributions on the subject.
