In this paper we continue the investigation of geometric properties of convex sets. Let \(Q\) be a convex subset of a topological vector space. The set \(Q\) is called stable if the midpoint map \(Q\times Q\ni(\mathbf{x,y})\to \frac 12(\text\textbf{x}+\text\textbf{y})\in Q\) is open with respect to the inherited topology in \(Q\). A convex set \(Q\) has the extreme continuous function property \((Q\in\text{ECFP})\) if for all continuous functions from any compact Hausdorff space \(K\) into \(Q\) the condition \(f\in\operatorname{ext}C(K,Q)\) implies \(f(K)\subset \operatorname{ext}Q\). We have: \(Q\) is stable if and only if \(Q\in\)ECFP for all compact convex \(Q\subset \mathbf R^3\).
