Let \((G,\tau)\) be a topological monoid for which \(G\setminus \{1\}\) is topologically nilpotent. Necessary and sufficient conditions are found under which for every ring \(R\) there exists a nonarchimedean bounded pseudonorm \(\rho\) on the semigroup ring \(R[G]\) such that the topology generated by \(\rho\) induces \(\tau\) on \(G\). Sufficient conditions are given under which for each ring \(R\), topology \(\tau\) and bounded pseudonorm \(\rho\) on a commutative monoid \(G\) there exists a nonarchimedean bounded pseudonorm of \(R[G]\) which extends simultaneously \(\rho\) and \(\tau\).
