Let \(B_r=\{x\in\mathbf R^n\colon |x|<r\}\), \(K=[0,1]^n\) and let \(L_{\operatorname{loc}}\) denote the family of all locally summable functions. The main results of this paper are as follows: Theorem 1. Let \(f\in L_{\operatorname{loc}}(B_r)\) and let, for \(K\subset B_r\), \((*)\) \(\int_Kf(u)du=0\). Then one has: (1) If \(r\geq\frac12\sqrt{n+3}\), then \(f=0\). (2) For \(r<\frac12\sqrt{n+3}\), there exists a nonzero function belonging to \(C^\infty(B_r)\), satisfying condition \((*)\). Theorem 2. Let \(f\in L_{\operatorname{loc}}(B_r)\) and for each semicube \(P=\{x= (x_1,\cdots,x_n)\in\mathbf R^n\colon x_1\geq0\), \(|x|\leq1\}\subset B_r\), let \((**)\) \(\int_Pf(u)du=0\). Then one has: (1) If \(r\geq\sqrt{5}/2\), then \(f=0\). (2) For \(r<\sqrt{5}/2\), there exist nonzero functions belonging to \(C^\infty(B_r)\), satisfying condition \((**)\).
