The author considers the difference \(f(x)-f(y)\) of polynomials over a finite field \(F_q\) and proves that the product \(R(x,y)\) of all irreducible factors of the difference, that are not solvable by radicals, is of the form \(R(x,y)= g(x)-g(y)\), where \(f(x)= G(g(x))\) for some polynomials \(g\), \(G\) over \(F_q\).
