The authors proved that for any compact subset \(K\) of \(\mathbb R^d\), if \(K\) is not of first category, then its Hausdorff dimension and lower Bouligand dimension are zero, while its packing dimension and upper Bouligand dimension are equal to \(d\). Consequently, \(K\) cannot be a regular set nor an \(s\)-set, and the Bouligand dimension of \(K\) does not exist.
