Es sei \[ \varOmega = (x_1, y_1)^A \; (x_2, y_2)^B \; (x_3, y_3)^C \; (x_4, y_4)^D \dots \] eine Form, deren einzelne Bestandteile in den Variabelnpaaren \((x_1, y_1), (x_2, y_2), (x_3, y_3), (x_4, y_4), \dots\) homogen und bezw. von der Ordnung \(A, B, C, D, \dots\) sind; ferner sei \[ \overline{12} = \frac{d}{dx_1}\;\frac{d}{dy_2} - \frac{d}{dx_2}\;\frac{d}{dy_1} \] u. s. w.; dann ist \[ (A \overline{23} + B \overline{31} + C \overline{12}) \varOmega = 0, \] falls die Variabeln \((x_1, y_1), (x_2, y_2), (x_3, y_3), (x_4, y_4), \dots\) oder bloss die Variabeln \((x_1, y_1), (x_2, y_2), (x_3, y_3)\) einzeln darin durch \((x, y)\) ersetzt werden. Der Verf. glaubt, dass dieser Satz zwar in Wahrheit wohl bekannt, aber nicht in einer so allgemeinen und zugleich so präcisen Form aufgestellt worden sei.
