The authors study the scalar nonlinear Volterra difference equation \[ x_n=\sum^n_{j=1} F(n,j,x_j)+ f_n \] and also the linear case when \(F(n,j,x_j)= K(n,j)x_j\), \(n\in\mathbb{N}\). Under certain conditions on \(f,F,K\), estimates of the solutions for both linear and nonlinear equations are derived, using comparison theorems and auxiliary formula for representations of solutions.
