Constant mean curvature hypersurfaces in noncompact symmetric spaces (Q1908312)

The author determines the lower bound of the mean curvature for all closed hypersurfaces of constant mean curvature in a Riemannian symmetric space of noncompact type. Also, using the Hessian comparison theorem, an analogous result is proved for any Riemannian manifold with a pole satisfying a certain curvature condition.
