The authors consider the stabilization problem for linear control systems, of the form \(\dot x = Ax + bu\) where the set of admissible control values is bounded. The stabilization problem is related to several optimal control problems on finite time horizon which are solved by an algorithm proposed by the authors in their article [``Optimization of a linear control system under real-time conditions.'' Comput. Syst. Sci. 31, No. 4, 1--14 (1993); translation from Izv. Ross. Akad. Nauk, Tekh. Kibern. 1992, No. 4, 3--19 (1992; Zbl 0808.93027)]. Thus they obtain either stabilizing discrete of different optimization criteria on the resulting controller is discussed as well as the cases of incomplete and/or imprecise information about the system state. Finally, an example of a stabilized system is presented.
